Get The Photos hosts content uploaded by users. We respond to notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and we terminate repeat infringers.

Designated agent

Send notices to our designated agent (registered with the U.S. Copyright Office DMCA Designated Agent Directory):

What a notice must include

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you say is infringed.
  3. The exact address of the material on our site (the /e/… page and the item, or its download link).
  4. Your contact information (name, address, email, phone).
  5. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  6. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

When we receive a complete notice we remove or hide the material promptly, notify the host and, where we can, the uploader, and record the notice.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake, send a counter-notice with: your signature; identification of the material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the removal was a mistake or misidentification; your name, address and phone; consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or, if outside the US, for the district where we are located); and that you will accept service from the person who filed the notice. We forward it to the complainant; if they do not tell us within 10–14 business days that they have filed a court action, we may restore the material.

Repeat infringers

Hosts or uploaders who are the subject of repeated valid notices have their events closed and access terminated.
